Fashion within itself is unique, it’s an art; an outfit can become a beautiful work of art when put together well. Unique clothing is relative to the individual, but most fashion connoisseur’s of this age would agree that many treasures can be found in the clothing of the ages that came before us. The idea of being individualistic, stylish, and even earth-friendly is summed up in our idea of “vintage” fashion. As one who loves individualistic looks, I have yet to meet many people who know how to incorporate vintage pieces into their closets better than the ladies of Instant Vintage 78; Stacie and Samantha. Not only do they dress, sell, and breathe vintage, they are bringing it to the forefront of Washington, DC in a classy and fun way! This past weekend they held their second vintage pop-up shop. The first pop-up shop entitled the “Connoisseur’s Vintage Pop-Up Shop” was held back in the fall and was a huge success so we’re so glad they came back to do it again!
The event was a lot of fun as expected. Held at Penn Social, there were 16 vintage and retro vendors from all over the DC, Maryland, Virginia, and even Philly area who were a part of the pop-up shop. The atmosphere was eclectic; DJ Amen Ra was on the ones and twos providing the beats, there was fun and colorful lighting making the place romantic and urban at the same time, and the hand paintings on the wall made it the perfect location along with the great food and drinks!
There was a best dressed vintage contest, and of course the “Baltimore Bombshell” (@Blue_Jaye) won. I spotted her as a winner as soon as I saw her! She was Style Stamped vintage. 🙂
All of the vendors and patrons were Style Stamped too, of course!
The hosts of Instant Vintage 78 did a wonderful job, as always. We love these beautiful ladies!
We can’t wait for the next Instant Vintage 78 event!!!
