Now that I’m blessed with two children we find all kinds of adventures to get into. Recently we visited Cayden Ridge, a beautiful new community in Manassas, VA. It was a very hot day, but the sun was shining bright which made the home interiors even more stylish and vivid. Yes, stylish! The palette of these homes provides inspiration for even the most novice interior decorators, or someone like me who just enjoys and appreciates style, home, and family.
The main part of the home for my family and I is the kitchen. I’ve been doing a lot more cooking lately and the baby is now able to eat mashed up food so I’m spending a lot of time in the kitchen. The kitchen can be just as stylish as the rest of your house. Add some color and voila!
From the kitchen we usually go into the dining room to eat! Floral arrangements and candles are a nice touch here. Place mats and settings also add a unique element of fashion to your table.
The bedroom is also a favorite hang out spot, everyone loves to hang out on the big bed! I’m always sitting my baby on the bed and my daughter loves to lay across it. They enjoy their own bedrooms as well; I have interesting things on the wall in the baby’s room and my daughter has a work area for her studies. The place you rest at night and wake up in the morning should be comfortable, and laid out just the way you want it.
Another great family place in the house is actually outside of the house, or on a great porch. These houses had wonderful outdoor options and we loved all of them.
Another key area in a house is the space you carve out specifically for you. A place to read, write, reflect, or just do nothing but you.
Visiting Cayden Ridge certainly gave me a lot of ideas that I took back home with me! This is an awesome new neighborhood. Check it out if you’re in the local DC area!
