The older I get the more I love dresses, and Spring is a perfect time to express your femininity with a “twirl”. Springtime grants dress-up occasions such as Easter and Mother’s Day, or just regular ole sunny days to rock a cute frock. Dresses are one of the highlights of being a woman- well that and lipstick and shoes of course! Can’t forget shoes. 🙂
One of the best thing about dresses this season are pockets. There is something about a cute dress with pockets that make it extra special. Pockets in a dress give you an unexpected hidden compartment to store secret notes or a useful place to hold keys or…just a feature to say “look, my dress has pockets!” for all who care.
Another great thing about dresses this season is the classic “Fit and Flare”silhouette which is tighter at the bodice and flares at the waist like a skirt. We love this look because that it’s structured for almost any body type, guaranteeing you a Style Stamp!
I love this fit and flare “Miel” dress from Anthropologie that looks like a two-piece top and skirt. The chevron pattern of the top is unexpectedly mixed with the lime green skirt and sash, and of course it has pockets! I paired it with a pearl and diamond necklace from H&M and some satin scalloped-back heels from Steve Madden that have been collecting dust in my closet for a few years.
I picked up this water-colored floral fit and flare during one of my lucky trips to Marshall’s. You know shopping at Marshall’s or TJ Maxx can be a hit or miss, but when it’s a hit its a hit! Both are great places to go dress shopping, even though it may take a little extra time to look around than a department store. Marshall’s is one of my favorite places to look for cute dresses! I paired this one with the same necklace from H&M and a pair of nude peep toe ankle strap heels from Steve Madden. Another pocket winner with an added surprise, a key-hole back!
Get your cute dresses on board! The fit and flare is an easy look, its cool, pretty and classy all at the same time. Add accessories; a belt is a good way to break up the dresses’ top and bottom and add definition to your waist. You’ll find this dress style comes in varying hem lengths too, providing you with more options depending on where you’re going. Tag us and show us how you rock your fit and flare!
