Pantone’s fall color, “Valiant Poppy” sounds like something set forth to make anyone have a good day. Although neither food nor drink, it does come in various styles of clothing this season which in turn can make you quite happy. The color may seem too bright for work, but who doesn’t need to brighten up their office space? I do.
I found this dress in the color described by WWD as “one of the brightest of all reds with a dynamic punch.” The description also states “It goes back to this whole idea of being an individual in your choice of clothing and using a bit more ingenuity and a little more creativity.” Love that description!
This particular dress, a flounced jersey dress from H&M is very comfortable with pockets and a sash. Although this color is in stores only, there are a few left online in khaki green and light blue, found here. Since we are focusing on the color, I have a few suggestions further down in the post for similar dresses. For the office, I paired it with navy heels, a navy bag, and a chambray blazer. If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll see that I love my chambray blazer and pair it with almost anything. They never go out of style, and you can usually find them year round at factory stores such as Ann Taylor or J. Crew. I did a monotone thing with my over-sized chain necklace, it matches the dress! Again this was an in-store find. I don’t know why H&M’s online jewelry collection doesn’t mimic their in-store feed, as they have great trendy jewelry in stores. Anyway, I found a similar style here on Etsy.
Since this dress isn’t online, I’ve linked a few faves below in a similar style and color:
ASOS dress with fluted sleeves
Will you try this color at work this season? How will you rock it?
