So what’s new in the land of retail for those of us whose pocketbooks are a little closer to the ground? There is a lot to report this fall!
I’m sure you have already heard, Phillip Lim is coming to Target. Yes, the sexy/cool/edgy/contemporary fashion designer is next in line for the Tar-gey high-fashion collabos. Phillip Lim’s 3.1 collection of apparel, shoes, and handbags is usually found at Neiman Marcus or Net-A-Porter with item price tags ranging from $300 – $1500, on average. The 3.1 for Target collection will consist of 100 items featuring both womenswear and menswear, including apparel, shoes, and handbags but the price-tags will be labeled at an attractive price range of $19.99 – $299.99. Big difference huh? Keep in mind that the price-tag does not negate from the edgy and clean style and high-fashion quality that the Designer is most known for. The collection includes some of my favorite textures, patterns, and silhouettes that are just in time for fall! These items bring street style to life in the same way as the parent 3.1 collection. The only difference is that I can afford to rock this one!
The colors, textures, and prints incorporated into this line are amazing. And as perfect fashion-timing fate would have it, the collection, launching September 15th, had a launch party on the first night of Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week. Phillip Lim hosted a pop-up shop at Spring Studio to celebrate his new collaboration alongside celebrities and fashion forward attendees, all who incorporated 3.1 for Target into their wardrobe. Awesome right?
I love the skirt that Hanna paired this floral top with, and added her own accessories!

THIS cocktail dress. LBD – Little Blue Dress! It’s perfect. The incorporation of evening wear into this collection is great!
I love the styling and sportiness of this dress. It definitely looks like Lim, but you would never know that it is from Target!

These bags are classic Phillip Lim. I can’t wait to see them at Target!
“Style is unexpected, unplanned, yet completely relevant.”
