This fall fashion retail and designer collaboration just keeps getting better! I’ve been holding my breath for the November 14th drop date of Isabel Marant + H&M (one of my go to spots for hotness!) collabo and here we are now being blessed with a look book, well part of it. But I’ll take it because I want to SEE!!!!
Isabel Marant, who practically invented the wedge sneaker which prompted many knock-offs to follow, does not seem to have any of the wedge look in her collection with H&M. I’m glad about this because Marant is so much more than lifted kicks! She rules Parisian streetwear as a designer filled with fun and exiting looks. One thing that Marant is doing different for H&M that she does at her own fashion house is men’s fashion. It will be the first for the designer since she started her label back in 1994!
Quote: H&M
H&M is proud to announce its autumn collaboration with Parisian designer Isabel Marant. With effortless style, Isabel Marant has created a widely influential and successful take on Parisian chic. She mixes urban attitude, boho elegance, and a rock ‘n’ roll spirit to deliver genuine French allure. For H&M, Isabel Marant will create a wardrobe of must-have pieces inspired by her signature style. The collection will be available and online in 250 stores worldwide on November 14th, 2013, and will feature clothing and accessories for women and teenagers, as well as Isabel Marant’s first-ever collection for men.
“I am flattered by this collaboration. H&M works with the best designers, and this invitation is an exciting honor. I aim at creating something real – something women want to wear in their everyday lives – with a certain carefree style. I think this is very Parisian: You dress up, but don’t pay too much attention to it, and you still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude. Everything can be combined following one’s own instincts, and my take on fashion is all about personality,” says Isabel Marant.
The pieces are so exiting and I can’t wait to see them in person on November 14th!
Patterns, prints, and a touch of my favorite color (reds) here and there, I think I’m going to write a letter to Ms. Marant and H&M and tell them thank you for blessing the mere mortals like myself with these heavenly looks.
