Nike is on the come up with its head turning decision to collaborate with the brains and designs behind the Givenchy fashion powerhouse, Riccardo Tisci. Usually known for sticking to collaborations with famous athletes, Nike is branching out into the artistic world of true fashion with its latest collaboration. If I could insert a Nike check right here for a “Stamp!” I would!

We love Riccardo Tisci for numerous reasons, and we are happy to see him provided with this type of opportunity. Tisci tells Style.com “For me, Nike represents a lot: my childhood, America. In Europe, America is the flag, McDonald’s, Marlboro, and Nike, for a kid it’s very important.” Ian Ginoza, Nike’s Global Footwear Director shared equal respect for the designer, stating that he does a good job of blurring the lines with street fashion.
Tisci released a preview of what we can expect for what could potentially become one of the “most anticipated release dates” in the sneaker world this Spring. Tisci, wearing his Nike R.T. tee as seen above, holds his model protegé Joan Smalls around his neck. Joan, wearing a white lace dress from vintage store Early Halloween, shows off a pair of Nike boots from the collection that will retail for $225. The boots, which appear to hit just below the knee, are eye catching to say the least. We are sure they will be on the hottest kicks list this Spring.

So what does the complete line look like? Tisci tells Style.com that “It’s strong without being loud.” If the rest of the collection looks anything like the Air Force 1 boot shown on Joan, then strong is an understatement! The line will be available at select Nike stores, and probably online. Stay tuned for a drop date!
What do you think of the collaboration preview? Stamp or tramp?
