Color Your Summer Chambray

Summertime is for color! It’s a time for bright and bold, mixing and matching. Even if your clothing is not “colorful”, add some with accessories. I saw Gabrielle Union rocking a chambray romper from her new line at NY&Co. and it looked really nice on her so I tried it out. I purchased it about a month ago and never wore it until my birthday. The fit and material are spot on, it’s really soft denim with wonderful kimono-like sleeves, a large sash and loose shorts. Since it’s denim, and it’s summertime…I brightened it up with some very colorful fringe earrings and a wooden clutch.

Life is so much better in color. I find that during the ups and downs of life you have to find a way to add color, get out of the mundane grays of life, and summon happiness. For me this is easier said than done in the summertime because…well it’s my favorite time of year! You can go to the beach, take a long walk any time of the day or night, or just sit outside and look at the trees. Or…you can dress the part by wearing the most bold colors or accessories that you can find. I was unsure about these fringe earrings but they work, and made me very happy!
